Culture Jam is amazing! I have been on staff for the past two summers and have seen teens go through wonderful transformations in that week. It combines creativity, lots of fun, music, theater, dance, environment, personal growth and community building. It fills up quickly so if you think your kids would like it, sign up early through eugene parks & rec. It is held at Alice's wonderland, not the part of the site that is used for the fair itself, although there are walks through the site for different events, nature and also the meteor showers are usually that week. The kitchen staff is fantastic and provide yummy, organic meals. I think that Culture Jam creates a community which holds all the ideals of what the fair attempts to do. It's a very special experience.
